Some fun experiences from this past week! :) Hope you enjoy them!
This past week we met a lady who was visiting Houston and as we talked with her about the Book of Mormon, she told us she already had one! We asked her if she had gotten it from the missionaries or a friend, etc. She said she bought it at a garage sale years ago and it has been on her shelf ever since! We got her address and told her the missionaries will be stopping by soon to teach her about that book she got at a garage sale! :) Love the way the Lord works! Marvelous!
We had a 6 pm appointment with a less active the other night and he texted us that morning to confirm the appointment. We told him we were still planning on 6 pm and asked if that worked for him. He texted back "Purrrrrfect! Says my cat Melchior. See you at 6"! Me and my companion laughed SO HARD! :) Funny memories!
We taught the Word of Wisdom, Law of Chastity and Tithing to an Investigator, an 11 year old from Africa, this week. It was very frustrating, for us and him, as there was a huge language barrier! Through the mercy of God though, we worked through it and by the end of the lesson we were pop quizzing each other. What is the Word of Wisdom? No alcohol, tea, coffee. What is the Law of Chastity? Kids after marriage. What is tithing? 1/10 money to God. That's it my friends! That's the basics! How very simple the Gospel truly is! :) It was a fun learning experience!
We took a 15 years old, recent convert out with us teaching this past week! This girl is amazing! We got talking to some guys at the front desk of an apartment building and we left them with a mormon.org card. As we walked away She said "we should give them both a Book of Mormon, they'll read it and love it and it will make them so happy"! So we did. We went back in and She placed two copies of the Book of Mormon. She has such a strong testimony of the Book of Mormon! She is a phenomenal example to me and all of her sisters and brother want to serve a mission someday! Miracles!
As you can see, the work is amazing! Filled with experiences and memories to never forget!
I love y'all and hope all is well with you and your families! Thanks for all your prayers and support!
With Love,
Sister Kunzler
