This past week was fabulous and busy, so here goes trying to summarize it all!
Tuesday we had a meeting with President Ashton and we discussed the Atonement. Powerful! My mind was blown by the end of our 2 hour training! It was incredible! The Atonement of Jesus Christ is something we can't ever begin to comprehend. It's one powerful and amazing gift we have all been given! :) So thankful for it! So thankful!
Random note: on Wednesday I had an avocado mango tapioca smoothie with my district! It was delicious! :) That night we met Lauren. Her parents died in a murder suicide a year ago and she is done being angry with God and ready to go back to church. Perfect! :)
Thursday I got a birthday package from my family! Loved it! :) Yay! We did wall sits and planks during weekly planning! Got to keep ourselves awake and healthy! Right!? So much fun! A member gave us cockroach killer. Hairspray. Ha! So funny! Apparently it works!
Friday we got security called on us at an apartment complex. They told us we had to have an appointment with the resident before we could enter the property. Drama. Ha! So silly! Makes for a great story! A very hot day! We got to talk to tons of people though and it was great! We were exhausted but it was the best!
Saturday was my 20th birthday! Yahoo! It was the best! We had lunch at a mexican side street vendor in our area and it was the best food I have ever had in my life. Hands down. Besides your cooking mom. ;) It truly was yummy! We had a little brownies and ice cream get together that night with the senior sister missionaries and one of our investiagators. Our ward mission leader and his wife are taking me and my companion out to dinner this week to celebrate and my district made a super cute note and my family sent a package and it was the best! We got to teach a ton of lessons that day and it was amazing! We taught a less active about the Atonement and it was one of the most powerful lessons yet! A great day!
Sunday was Father's Day! It was great to see the primary kids sing! So sweet! We had 4 investigators at church! Miracles! :) We had 3 meal appointments this day also. 12:30 pm, 3 pm and 5 pm. Yummy food! :) Love it! We ate small portions. :)
This morning we got a text from the mission office to evacuate immediately. We packed up and put everything on high shelves in our apartment and showed up at the church building. It was a drill. Ha. We kind of figured it was about 10 minutes after we got the text. Silly silly! It was still eventful, to say the very least.
It was a busy week, as you can tell! I am loving it and this next week is filled with lots of exciting things as well! I pray you are all doing well and invite you to study the Atonement this week. It's powerful. Life changing. We wouldn't be here without it. :)
