Hey Everybody!
What a great week! I have a new companon! Sister Jewett from Farmington, Utah. 20 years old (almost 21). She is amazing! Pre-trained and ready to go to work! Yahoo! :) It was a huge transfer this past week. 43 new missionaries which puts our mission at a total of 230 missionaries! Wow! So exciting!
We went to visit a less active this past week and we talked to everyone on the way and in doing so we met a guy who had taken lessons in Argentina. His neighbors were members of the church. He said he wasn't interested but he was very kind about it. We asked if he had any friends we could visit. He pointed us in the general direction of his friend Carl. We went and knocked on what we thought was Carl's door to find out that Ruth lived there and Carl was next door. Oops! However, we weren't supposed to meet Carl. We were supposed to meet Ruth. We got talking with her and she had heard we didn't read the Bible. Wrong. She was very interested to hear about the Book of Mormon and we have a return appointment with her this week! Miracles! God truly guides us to where we need to be. It's amazing to see and recognize his hand in our every day lives!
The area I am serving in is labeled as West University & Bellaire on my mission boundaries map. Just so y'all can get a better idea of where exactly I am in the world of Texas! ;)
